Men and women of all ages were out on the street at about 1 a.m., and officers worked to break up small scrapes as the crowd grew and began to surround them, police told The Hour.

Derek Fortini, 22, of Norwalk, shoved an officer as he attempted to separate two people who were arguing, The Hour said. As Derek Fortini was placed in cuffs, a relative, James Fortini, 49, approached officers with his fists balled up, The Hour said.

When told to back up, he chest-bumped an officer and was arrested as well, The Hour said.

Derek Fortini, 22, of 9 Cedar Crest, Norwalk was charged with interfering with officer and held on $500 bond. James Fortini, 49, of the same address, was arrested on the same charge. He was held on $1,000 bond. Both are due in court Dec. 4.
