Unlocked Car Stolen In New Canaan; Police Release Video Of Would-Be Thieves

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- One car was stolen in New Canaan on Thursday after it was left unlocked with the keys inside, and two other unlocked cars were entered, police said.

The unlocked car that was stolen was parked on Salem Road with the keys inside, police said. Two cars that were left unlocked on Summer Street were entered and items were taken, police said.

"NC Residents, these people are stealing your property because it's easy," police wrote. "Are you doing your part to help ensure you keep you stuff? Are you teaching others around you to do the same?"
