Video Catches Woman Stealing Wallet From Westport Restaurant Employee

A 27-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant more than two months after she was caught on surveillance video taking the wallet of a restaurant employee in Westport, police said.

Jaquisha Bridgeforth, 27, of Bridgeport, was observed on surveillance video taking the wallet from the coat pocket of the employee on March 14.

Officers later learned she took the wallet and threw it in the garbage after leaving the restaurant, police said. The investigating officer submitted a warrant application for her arrest, which was later granted. 

Bridgeforth was arrested at Norwalk Court Tuesday, May 22 on the outstanding warrant. She was charged with larceny and held on $5,000 bond.
