Westport Actor Charged With Child Pornography In Sexting Case

WESTPORT, Conn. — A Westport-based actor who has appeared on "Boardwalk Empire" and "The Good Wife" has taken center stage in his own crime drama after his arrest on child pornography charges during a pre-dawn arrest at his home Wednesday, Westport police said.

He was charged with first-degree child pornography after 50 digital pornographic images were found at his home in an investigation into a sexting relationship between the man and a Colorado juvenile, police said.

Westport officers swooped in on Paul Jude Letersky's home at 175 Riverside Ave. at 5 a.m. and executed a search warrant, police said. During the search, police said 50 digital images of child pornography were discovered. 

The investigation began when officers were alerted to an alleged sexting relationship between the 47-year-old man and the Colorado juvenile, police said. 

According to his LinkedIn page, Letersky is a real estate agent and an actor who graduated from Fairfield University. According to the "Empire" wiki, he played Farraday Salesman #4 in "Boardwalk Empire" and was an uncredited extra in the third season episode "Resolution." He also appeared in "Howl" (2010), "Moneymaker" (2010), "Daddy Day" (2011), and "Hope Springs" (2012).

His resume also lists small roles on "Gossip Girl," "Law & Order," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," and "The Good Wife," in addition to "Boardwalk Empire."

Investigators "will be look at a lot of information," said Westport Police Lt. David Farrell. "You're talking a lot of digital photos, data, that is going to need to be forensically processed."

Farrell called it a "pretty significant" investigation. 

Letersky was charged with enticing a minor and risk of injury to a child. Bond was set at $500,000 and his first scheduled court appearance is Jan. 13.

The case is still under investigation by the Westport Police Detective Youth Division, led by Sgt. Sereniti Dobson. Assisting with the investigation is the Southwest Connecticut Technical Investigation Unit, with officers from Weston, New Canaan, Norwalk and Greenwich police departments and Connecticut State Police.
