The CEA represents 43,000 members in Connecticut.

The Connecticut Education Association was formed in 1848. Today, CEA is headquartered in Hartford with a membership of more than 43,000 that includes K-12 teachers in Connecticut public schools as well as retired teachers and college students preparing to become teachers.
CEA is a grassroots organization that is a strong and effective champion for teachers and public schools. It is a state affiliate of the National Education Association, which is headquartered in Washington, D.C.
