Speak Your Mind: Sen. Blumenthal To Hold Town Hall Discussion Saturday

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Fairfield County residents looking to speak their minds about issues in Washington will have two opportunities this weekend to meet with members of the state's federal delegation.

All members of the public are invited to attend.

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) will hold a Town Hall meeting on Saturday, May 6, in Danbury to discuss immigration, healthcare and other issues of concern. 

Here are the details on Blumenthal's Town Hall meeting:

  • Saturday, May 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. at Ives Concert Hall in White Hall at Western Connecticut State University, 181 White St., Danbury

A parking garage is located on Fifth Avenue, directly behind White Hall.

On Sunday, May 7, U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty (D-5th District) will hold a Town Hall meeting at the Bethel Municipal Center. 

Members of the public will have the opportunity to ask Esty questions about their community, current legislative issues, the direction of the country, and her work in Congress.

Members of Esty’s staff will also be on hand to help residents who have specific problems or concerns with a federal agency, including on matters related to Social Security, Medicare, immigration, or veterans’ benefits. 

Here are the details on Esty's Town Hall meeting:

  • Sunday, May 7, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Doors open at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Municipal Center, General Purpose Room, 1 School St., Bethel.
