If you or someone you know need more information on handling taking many different medications, you might want to stop by Town Hall tomorrow. Nursing Home and Care and Aging in Place are co-sponsoring a free seminar for seniors, to help them deal with mixing prescriptions, nutritional supplements and over-the-counter drugs. There will be light refreshments and take-home brochures, and anyone is welcome to attend.
Among the topics that will be discussed are: drug interactions, how to interpret Drug Facts labels, questions to ask your doctor, facts about generic versus name-brand medications, buying drugs online, traveling with medications and preparing for emergencies.
