The boys’ mother and grandmother went with them by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center following the 3:20 p.m. incident, Sgt. Brian McGovern said.

The group was outside the Old Navy store at the bottom of a pair of escalators when the glass from the shattered panel fell about 30 feet.

An initial scanner-broadcast report of a 76-year-old man also injured was erroneous, McGovern said. A 67-year-old man was given a Band-Aid, he said.
