Metro-North To Offer Bus Service During Waterbury Branch Closure

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Substitute bus service will be running this weekend to accommodate passengers who typically ride Metro-North's Waterbury Branch, according to the railroad.

Track work on the Waterbury Branch will force the closure of the rail line from Friday-Sunday. Substitute bus service will be available.

The service change, which is set to be in effect from Friday-Sunday, has been put in place to allow for track work on the Waterbury Branch, according to a statement from Metro-North.

The busses will be operating between Waterbury to Bridgeport, the statement said, noting that the scheduled board times will likely be earlier than typically scheduled trains.
