Covid-19: Here's Brand-New Breakdown Of Putnam County Cases By Town

There have been 61 new positive COVID-19 cases reported in the last week in Putnam, with no new hospitalizations, according to the county's Department of Health.

There have now been 57,867 COVID tests administered in Putnam County, which have resulted in 1,950 positive cases, the Department of Health reported in its latest breakdown on Friday, Oct. 23.

There have been 63 COVID deaths in Putnam since the outbreak began seven months ago, and none in the past several weeks.

The county is currently monitoring 50 active COVID-19 cases, and 1,900 Putnam residents are no longer isolated after testing positive for the virus more than two weeks ago.

There are now four COVID-19 patients at Putnam hospital.

A breakdown of COVID-19 cases in Putnam County, according to the latest information released by the Department of Health:

  • Carmel: 672 (24 new);
  • Southeast: 430 (15);
  • Kent: 297 (6);
  • Putnam Valley: 224 (8);
  • Patterson: 187 (5);
  • Philipstown: 140 (3).

Statewide, there were 141,508 COVID-19 tests administered yesterday, with 1,637 (1.15 percent) testing positive. There are currently 1,023 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, up from 986 and there were 11 new virus-related fatalities.

Since the pandemic began, New York has administered 13,474,353 COVID-19 tests, with 491,771 testing positive. A total of 25,705 New Yorkers have died since mid-March.
