Officers from West Lampeter Township Police and search and rescue personnel located Jennifer Herr dead in the Lancaster County Central Park on Nov. 2 in the late evening hours, police said in a release on Wednesday morning.
The circumstances surrounding her death are still being investigated and no further information is being released at this time, according to the release.

A missing endangered person alert has been issued for a Lancaster County woman.
Police are searching for Jennifer L. Herr, 57, of 100 block South President Avenue in Lancaster who was last seen leaving her residence on Monday.
She left the home driving a dark gray 2012 Toyota Prius sedan with the license plate reading, “JCK-5627,” according to the alert by police.
Herr is described as 5’7”, 120lbs, brown/reddish hair, brown eyes, thin build and was last seen wearing dark or black pants, a black and yellow Millersville University sweatshirt, and a knit cap, police say.
Herr’s vehicle was found at the Lancaster County Central Park in West Lampeter Township on Tuesday, according to police.
Officers from the West Lampeter Township Police Department, along with search and rescue teams, are searching the park, according to a release by police.
Herr’s family is concerned for her welfare and ability to care for herself, according to eh release.
Her family declared her an endangered missing person and police have entered her into the national missing person database as endangered.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts, or who comes into contact with her, needs to call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 as soon as possible. Contact can also be made to the West Lampeter Township Police Department at 717-464-2421, as both agencies are working together to locate Herr.
