A 33-year-old North Bergen woman was riding an electric bicycle near 50th Street and Bergenline Avenue in West New York and was struck by a vehicle that sped off shortly before 12:25 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a Friday release.
The woman was taken to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Suarez said.
A vehicle of interest has since been recovered.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and West New York Police Department are handling the investigation, and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact the HCPO at 201-915-1345 or leave an anonymous tip.
