Boston Restaurant Owner Nabbed For Assault, Battery With Gun: Police

A more than week-long search for a wanted Suffolk County man ended with his arrest, officials say.

Patrick Mendoza, age 54, of Boston, was arrested on Friday, July 21 for assaulting someone with a gun in Boston on Wednesday, July 12, according to the Boston Police Department. 

Mendoza owns Monica’s Trattoria, an Italian restaurant located in Boston's North End, according to Boston News 7.

Mendoza was wanted on a warrant out of Boston Municipal Court for the following:

  • Assault by means of a dangerous weapon (gun)
  • Assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon
  • Assault and Battery

Police previously warned the public to be on the lookout for Mendoza, who was considered armed and dangerous. 

The July 12 assault occurred at 257 Hanover Street. A pastry shop called Modern Pastry and a pizza tour company called Binge on Boston are both registered at that address, according to Google Maps.
