The commission passed the final site plan and permit at Tuesday's meeting to demolish the existing residence at 38 Meeting House Road and construct a new 6,340-square-foot single family home.

The 6,000-square-foot house talk show host Philbin lived in was built in 1979 and boasted four bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms.

The new home will reportedly include a theater, wine room, exercise room, pool, sauna, playroom and a covered terrace. The LaChances plan to keep the existing swimming pool and tennis court.
