Motavalli appeared on The Bob Edward Show in late March to read “Find a Good Frog,” a story about taking a her mother’s advice to take optimistic approach to life. At her teacher’s advice, she submitted it to the “This I Believe” series, which selected her to read the piece for a national broadcast.

“Delia is an exceptional writer,” Warde headmaster James Coyne told the Board of Education on Tuesday. “And she debunks the myth that teenagers never listen to their parents.”
