The ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. on Dunning Field. If there is light inclement weather, the ceremony will still take place outside as long as there is not danger of lightning. If there is a passing shower, the school may wait it out for a short time before making a final decision. If there is a change to the date or time of the ceremony, it will be posted on the NCPS website and on the phone number (203) 594-4000 by 3 p.m. on June 20.

The rain date for the ceremony is Wednesday, June 21 at 5 p.m. If the weather forces the ceremony to be postponed to Wednesday and it is still not able to be held outside, each graduate will be given to tickets for an indoor ceremony in the gym. It will also be live broadcast to the auditorium and the cafeteria. Students may pick up tickets after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, and no additional tickets will be available. If the ceremony is held at Dunning Field, tickets will not be needed.

Dunning Field will open for friends and family at 4 p.m. Seats cannot be saved prior to that time. Guests should allow sufficient time to park and make it to the ceremony. South School will be available for additional parking if needed.

Guests are asked to refrain from coming onto the field to take pictures or get a better look at the graduates. Make sure that students do not bring air horns, bubbles, beach balls or other props to the ceremony. Students should avoid wearing spike-heeled shoes, as this will damage the field.

Students and speakers will face the home-side bleachers. There will be ample room there for parents and other guests.

After the ceremony, a reception sponsored by the junior class will follow on the Plaza at Dunning Stadium.
