NEW CANAAN, Conn. - New Canaan Public Schools announced Friday morning that they will be closed Friday due to the blizzard conditions predicted for later in the day.

Private schools New Canaan Country Day and St. Luke’s School had already called the snow day Friday.

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A bicyclist was injured Tuesday afternoon after an accident on Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan, police said.

The cyclist sustained a hand injury and was transported to the hospital for treatment, Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said.
