NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The New Canaan Public Schools will be closed Friday due to the heavy snow expected to fall overnight across the region.

A decision about office staff attendance will be made on Friday morning, according to the school district website.

State Superior Courts will be closed, and the Department of Motor Vehicles canceled all driving tests for the day.

Western Connecticut State University and all other state colleges will also be closed.
