New Canaan Schools Dismissing Early Tuesday Due To Snow

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Snowy weather will prompt New Canaan Public Schools to dismiss early on Tuesday.

Snowfall began early Tuesday morning and is expected to last most of the day. Early dismissal means students at New Canaan High School and students in grades 7 and 8 at Saxe Middle School will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. Fifth and sixth graders at Saxe and students at students at South School will be released at 12:30 p.m. East and West schools will let out at 1:15 p.m.

In addition, all after school activities have been canceled.

New Canaan High School's state playoff football game against Avon is postponed until Wednesday.
