New Canaan Schools Have Half Day On Friday

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Friday, Jan. 17, will be a half day of school for New Canaan Public School students. Teachers will meet in the afternoon for professional development sessions.

The following is the planned half day dismissal schedule for students:

New Canaan High School: 11:30 a.m.
Saxe Middle School Grades 7 and 8: 11:30 a.m.
Saxe Middle School Grades 5 and 6: 12:20 p.m.
South Elementary School: 12:15 p.m.
East Elementary School: 1:05 p.m.
West Elementary School: 1:05 p.m.

Schools will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Planned Half Day Dismissal Schedule follows the same dismissal times as the Alternate Early Dismissal Schedule #2. The schedule of school hours for 2013-14 can be found here.
