A weekend of music kicked off at Norwalk High School on Friday night when the school hosted its 19th annual Jazz Festival. Bands from 11 high schools and three of the citys middle schools performed in the auditorium and orchestra room over a five-hour period.
That was a mere prelude to Saturdays Winter Guard and Percussion show, in which 50 color guard and percussion ensembles are scheduled to play.
After a winter of rehearsal, musicians and jazz fans alike are more than ready to swing into spring.
Did you attend the concert? How did the students sound?
