FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- With up to a foot of snow anticipated to hit Fairfield County between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon, many school districts are being proactive and canceling school ahead of time.

Bethel: All schools and offices closed Thursday

Bridgeport: All schools and offices closed Thursday

Brookfield: All schools canceled Thursday

Danbury: Schools, offices and school readiness programs are closed Thursday

Darien: All schools canceled Thursday

Easton, Redding, Region 9 School District: All schools closed

Fairfield: All schools canceled Thursday

Greenwich: All schools canceled Thursday

Monroe: All schools closed Thursday

New Fairfield: All schools closed Thursday

New Canaan: All schools closed Thursday

Newtown: Schools closed Thursday

Norwalk: Schools and offices closed Thursday
