NEW CANAAN, Conn. - Collin Shapiro just cleared the crossbar on a 33-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to lift the New Canaan High School football to the Class L finals for the sixth year in a row. The Rams won their second come-from-behind victory, defeating top-ranked Windsor, 27-24.

New Canaan will play the winner of Saturday night's Masuk vs. Daniel Hand game in Hartford next week. A full game story will be posted later.

Bicyclist Injured In New Canaan Accident

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A bicyclist was injured Tuesday afternoon after an accident on Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan, police said.

The cyclist sustained a hand injury and was transported to the hospital for treatment, Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said.

There was no vehicle involved, and the cause of the accident was unknown, she said.
