New Canaan Swimmers Head To North Carolina For YMCA National Championships

WILTON, Conn. -- Twenty-two local athletes representing the Wilton YMCA Wahoos are headed to the biggest stage in YMCA swimming, the 2016 Short Course YMCA National Championships in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The swimmers will join more than 1,400 athletes from across the country traveling to the prestigious meet to test their will, drive and spirit within competitive swimming. The championships will be held from Monday, April 4 to Saturday, April 9.

Swimmers who will attend include: Will Suchy of Wilton, Siera Daly of Weston, Hugo Sykes of Weston, Kiersten Daly of Weston, Natalie Larsen of Wilton, Jake Kealy of Wilton, Erik Ryan of Darien, Luca DiCapua of Pound Ridge, Alex Ignatov of Trumbull, Kevin Santoro of Ridgefield, Emma Kauffeld of Wilton, Emma Holmquist of Wilton, Wesley Fales of New Canaan, Dakota Meyer of Norwalk, Lexo Walker of Ridgefield, Jack Lynch of Ridgefield, James Mostofi of Darien, Ky-Lee Perry of Norwalk, Robby Giller of Wilton, Katrina Trentos of Wilton, Catherine Buroker of Trumbull, and Noah Mascoll-Gomes of Astoria, Queens. They will be accompanied by Wilton Y Wahoos head coach Randy Erlanbach.
