New Canaan 6th Grade Football Players Compete In Regional Tournament

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Middle school football players from Norwalk, Wilton, Westport and New Canaan played for the Connecticut South team in the Football University Regional Championship this past weekend at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, N.J.

Norwalk's Kyle Gordon, Nick DiIorio, Jeffrey Cocchia, and Jermayne Daniels played in the tournament  along with Wilton's Austin Anderson, Westport's Blaine McAllister, and New Canaan's John Wise, Luke Morton, and Zack LaPolice represented FBU Connecticut South (6th Grade).

The regional winners  head to a tournament in Columbus, Ohio. The winner of the Ohio Bracket will advance to the FBU National Championship to be held in January at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

Football University is an invitation-only training program for boys in grades 6 to 11. Players receive training from NFL coaches and players, including technique by position evaluations.
