NORWALK, Conn. - Norwalk native Cameron Wilson set a course record Wednesday at the Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton, N.Y., en route to victory in the second round of the 2012 Metropolitain Golf Association Ike Championship. Wilson, who plays out of Shorehaven Golf Club in Norwalk, shot a record seven-under 65 in the middle round of the event.

The St. Luke's graduate went on to finish nine strokes ahead of the runner-up in the final afternoon round, winning the Ike Championship with an impressive eight-under 208.

Wilson, now a sophomore at Stanford University, entered the final day of play two over par and tied for sixth place. He then nailed birdies on four holes on the front nine and an eagle on the 12th to all but wrap up the title with 24 holes still to play.

Wilson's score could have been even lower, but he bogeyed on the second and 17th hole of the final round. He was a stunning five-under on the par-five holes.
