Savage, a senior at Weston High School, cleared the bar at that height on her first try, according to the online results from the meet. None of her competitors could match that effort. She had survived a scare in the earlier round, clearing 12 feet, 6.75 inches on her third attempt.

Earlier this year, Savage won the pole vault championship at the Penn Relays with a state record jump of 13 feet, 1.5 inches.

Savage will attend the University of Oklahoma in the fall.

She was named The Daily Voice Athlete of the Month for March. Read more about her accomplishments here
