Connecticut State Police Respond To Nearly 100 Accidents During Snowstorm FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Most people in Fairfield County decided on Thursday to stay off the roads amidst a giant snowstorm that dropped as much as 13 inches on parts of the area, but Connecticut State Police still responded to hundreds of calls for service during the day. From 6 a.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, state police received 1,492 calls for service. There were 89 accidents, including 11 accidents with injury. There were no fatalities, and troopers made one DUI arrest. They assisted 441 motorists during the day.
