It's called multiple departments, Tim T. The Detective Bureau is on the investigative side of things and the patrol officers are doing just that....patroling to keep people safe. Cut them some slack. Friday night, I was hit by a drunk driver. Thankfully, no serious injuries to anyone and minimal damage to my vehicle, but nonetheless, it was scary. The police responded in a timely manner and handled the situation with the utmost professionalism. I hope you and your loved ones are safe this Holiday Season. View Comment
Hey Tim T. You really should know the limitations of local police departments before you start spewing your hate of the Norwalk Police Department. The police are discouraged from engaging in high speed pursuits and EACH police department relies on the neighboring forces for additional support should they need it. Norwalkertoo is correct. They acted quickly, spread the word to surrounding areas to get the scumbag apprehended. The police cannot be everywhere in this town and especially in the condition the city is in the wake of the hurricane. Perhaps you should spend a day in the shoes of a police officer and see if you last 3 hours. And if you are so unhappy, move to a city you think is safer. Naive people like you are an embarrassment to the rest of the community. View Comment
Since the mid-1980's? Must be Ed doing the math for that one! I don't recall the team even being in existence that far back. I remember Lawrence's Tigers, JR Boys, RK Irrigation, Aces, Partners et al, but never Marinello's. View Comment
HERE WE GO!!!! Why does it always have to be about color? Not once in that article did I see "A White Male, William Loeffel, 24, of 4 Hillside St..." or "His white girlfriend!". Really???? Grow up!!!
However, I do agree with you about the judicial system. View Comment
DR. MasonE was pivotal in the development of making Brookside Elementary one of the best schools in Norwalk. It's a real shame the BOE can't get their ducks in a row. I am sure she will be one of many who will jump ship and I don't blame them one bit. This has been and will continue to be the problem with Norwalk Public School System. View Comment
Scully,
That is so PC of you! Does the CT State Lottery divide the winnings between the people that played for that day? No! This is NO different from the lottery. Th more you play, the more chances you have to win. All the schools put forth a great effort now it comes down to the total tally of votes.
Here's a thought.....Why doesn't the City of Norwalk stop dipping into the Education coffer and cutting Education spending to supplement other City departments? Why aren't more funds allocated to the schools to begin with?
Some schools DO have more than others and funds should be divided equally! Remember..No Child Left Behind. View Comment
You all really need to get a life! This is for our children and our schools.
Danslandscapping: Where on earth did you hear that The PTO was offering teachers an incentive if they generated the most votes. How ridiculous can one person get in their thought process? You people need to look at the recipients of the cause and MOVE ON with your lives! View Comment
