Coach Matt and Coach Chris have done an outstanding job with these boys over the last 3 years! They are both so dedicated to these kids. The Grizzlies have come such a long way and it has been a pleasure to watch them grow as players and young men.
What a shame the city of Norwalk can't give them a decent practice field or home field to play on like they do for all other sports teams in the town!! View Comment
It would be nice to see a strong support from parents AND teachers for this one this time! With all the wonderful and involved parents and staff it shouldn't be difficult to reach 500 at the very least! AND ALUMNI! :) View Comment
seems a shame people can't at least unload supplies closer to the beach. With all the things needed for a family to spend a day at the beach, it's a lot of work bringing them in from a farther location.

The schools without air were stifling today to say the least. Upstairs at West Rocks was very brutally hot according to my 7th grader there. Very difficult to concentrate and learn something new or take a test in this heat I think. View Comment
I LOVE option 3!! The longer the students are in school without interruption seems like it has to be the better way to go academically speaking. I'd also like to see the kids in school for Martin Luther King Day where they could learn about him more than being at home playing video games or watching TV. View Comment
The Jazz festival at Norwalk High was excellent! All the groups sounded wonderful and it was so nice to see and hear all 3 of Norwalk's great Jazz groups play! View Comment
Nice article! My Dad and I took a fish cooking class Alison gave years ago in Wilton and it was such a fun, informative time. We still talk about it today and how much her love for what she does is so apparent! Not to mention how delicious the food was! View Comment
The lack of air conditioning in the schools is a very important consideration I think and totally disagree with Mr. Kimmel on this point. The temps in the classrooms at Cranbury and West Rocks in June are very high and my kids come home totally soaked in sweat with headaches from the heat to boot nearly everyday in June. It doesn't promote a good learning environment or even for that matter a healthy environment at all.
I'd like to see no vacations after the Christmas Break until April and even then a long weekend would really be okay to get in our instruction time so as not to go to school until June 29th. We might even get more instruction time in the classroom with less assemblies, parties and movies being watched in class. View Comment
