Are you kidding, the police added no value? That blood alcohol level would render most unable to hold a conversation... calling FF probably saved at least one life. That the mom states she will never forgive the daughter for this speaks how troubled she is. The 15 year old is regrettably a hero, and has made a wise choice to call for help. And if you are reading this, my prayers are with you for whatever else has happened that has lead to this. You should not have to deal with this at your age. Gang Crime. I see no one from the city has taken the Rte 7 connector going south and connected north on 95. That ramp, full of trash (has been like that for years) and those magnificent stone walls on the left side with O_ _L and other GANG tags have that have been there for many years need to be cleaned up. It's basically a WELCOME to NORWALK for all gangs! We don't bother cleaning up your tags, so come on in! Beside that it is just an eyesore for residents. Maybe the Mayor needs to get in his car and travel it one of these days. View Comment

It's beautiful inside but with limited hours, how will people ever know when to visit? We have been twice now when it was supposed to be open and most of the stalls were closed. Most of the food was extremely expensive. And how can you make bad gelato? It was awful! View Comment

I have to agree with the last 2 posters... don't mind the semester to go a little longer. What totally stinks is that the last week is 1/2 days, when NOTHING happens that is productive. The BOE should change the calendar to full days for elementary. End the year on a strong note, not a wimper with games, play, packing and field trips. View Comment

Recycling crews have busted my recycling bins more than once. I have called the city and had them replaced. Simple! But I agree... they don't need to throw our cans or our bins! I wouldn't want to try to get them to replace a garbage can... but the recycling bins are much more brittle plastic and I don't see the point using them if they are destroyed so easily and then land in a recycling bin themselves. EPIC FAIL on the part of the city and the BOE. You should all be embarrassed... voting unanimously to reloate this nut to central office... and at the taxpayer's expense. She should have been FIRED. Then, in 2 years...we get to pay her pension! WOW! A great use of our money. Someone should talk to any parent or teacher at Marvin and find out how well she was performing. I am pretty sure they're cheering and dancing with her gone. But the real sad thing is you hang on to a wretched employee... what message does that send to the rest of the NPS.. and the rest of the city.... just know there are no negative consequences for a job poorly done, there's no accountability. When all schools are guaranteed extra recess, or rigorous exercise of some sort, then the BOE should implement healthy micromanagement in the form of a "no cupcake rule". I think the BOE should expect some changes, in the form of personnel change because there will be a lot more people voting this time around. I guess they accomplished something. View Comment
