The fact that national media is not covering this story tells me that the man is not crazy and he was not trying to do mass killing. He may have broken few laws, but there's no way he's crazy and trying to kill many people. Otherwise the news media would have covered the story all day long like crazy. Jobs participation rate is a much more important number. If many unemployed people have moved out of state for another job, you'll end up with low/good unemployment numbers but low/bad jobs participation rates. I know nationally we are at the worst jobs participation rates since 1980, that's 30+ years ago. View Comment

But there's hope, if our politicians in Hartford can take advantage of recent huge political change in NY. NYC has just elected a far left nut as mayor, who promises to raise taxes all around. It's an opportunity for neighboring states to attract businesses with lower taxes. Stamford in particular can benefit hugely. View Comment
Stop encouraging people to do risky behaviors. Riding a bicycle is dangerous: 12 times more likely to get killed than driving a car. It seems that the government is actively promoting this dangerous practice lately. Government doesn't promote texting or drinking while driving, does it? View Comment
