100% agree with *just a mom* - maybe the Fire Dept could sent an email with some of these parent guidelines like making sure kids walk up the side, etc? My kids watched the boy get taken away by ambulance last weekend and were really freaked out. View Comment

Paige - the police actually confirmed that the assault rifle with multiple high velocity ammo arounds WAS used to kill everyone inside the school. HUNDREDS of bullets were fired. That kind of weapon is not used for hunting nor is it necessary for self defense. Those that feel they need to arm themselves as a militia in order to protect from government tyranny should move to a country in which they feel safer and more comfortable! View Comment

Promoting vigilantism is not the answer. A madman may ignore the rules but we should make it harder for him to get his hands on these kinds of weapons. No one outside of the military needs the capability to fire 100 bullets at the same time. View Comment

Nothing in the constitution gives people the right to fire 100 bullets at a time. Are you saying the Founders had these assault weapons in mind when crafting the Constitution? Wake up. View Comment
