Fred Rogers used to tell children, at times like this, to "look for the helpers; you will always find people helping." I find this comforting for myself. Grace Episcopal Church was open tonight until 9:00. Prayers were said; scriptures were read. In the end, nothing can make this better. But may this sustain us, that, "when our hearts break in grief, we know God's heart is already broken" and our prayers, our grief, our mute silence all matter. View Comment

Grace Episcopal Church, 1 Union Park, Norwalk will be open at 7:00 p.m. tonight for those who want a place to pray. Healing prayers will be available for those who so desire. The Three Episcopal bishops of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut are on their way to Sandy Hook to support the clergy efforts to minister to the people there. View Comment
