Paige, You are exactly correct about who they try to blame this on, but except for one part. She indeed was living in the shelter at that time. You are allowed to have passes to stay out if you chose to do so. Mothers with children can do this at anytime. Now i dont condoned this drug business at all. That was her fault, and you must pay the consequences of your actions. NPS hasnt been doing their jobs, since this issue occurred, we have kids that lives in stamford, bridgeport, Fairfield and darien that's way out of their own district. Some parents did the right thing by filling out the paper work, for out of district families, while the rest lies. So the parents that were denied, followed parents or family members to see where they lived. And took pictures to show proof. Its amazing now the school hallways arent jammed up like they use to be i wonder why? Its called lawsuits against NPS. If your ever around Norwalk High School by Marshalls, you can see the kids getting off the coastal bus, and if you are at the train station, take a good look at the kids getting off the train and getting on the Wheels Shuttle. I agree and to add to that...my child or children would not step one foot back into that school. Hearing there principal begging for her life over the intercom. Of course there isn't any comment to be stated when you are at fault. This man was dead less then 24 hrs from booking. He clearly told BCC that he recently had surgery AND had a heart conditions in which he needed his medicine. Inmates screaming to seek help for him. They decided to ignore him until they felt up to checking up on him. And what was the out come. The warden is crapping on himself, not returning any phone calls...Hmmm why wouldn't you want to speak with his family. If he so called died from natural causes. Stating that BCC is doing an investigation. For what when its the staffs fault for not responding when they should've followed threw the proper channels of a sick inmate. As far as felicia langley its not cool to set up someone or somebody trying to get back at another person. Telling mr robinson that u were there to pick up a few things, and the same token u robbing this house blind folded. Here we go again. Outsiders not having a clue about our school system. The BOE can careless about the classrooms looking like a concert 5 days a week for180 days. Guarantee if there kids were in this situation they would make sure that their child wouldn't be going through this mess. All I have to say is....if my child starts falling behind and not getting the proper help that is required... I personally will go after the BOE and my attorney will be called in to file a case against them, Its not fair to teachers or our children. Parks and Recs, and area camps should run until the 2nd week of Aug. These are things that the mayor or whoever should try to do for us parents, last year we got out early and then camp didn't start until after 4th of july and then camp was over less then 3 weeks later. What in the world is that. Norwalk has to do alot better looking out for families that pay their saleries with our taxes, lets start demoting them and maybe we can get our point across. At this point, it doesnt matter if they take the whole february break or add the days towards the end of the year. Parents like myself will still take my family on vacations in Feb, and I work for the BOE. You would want to add it at the end, because last year was the first to ever to get out on the 15th of june. Debby.todd, That rumor may come to light. The system fells to understand that people love hitting the mountains to ski. Last year there were sooooo many teachers, kids and etc, out they had to bring so many subs in. Now thats how the system gushes out money. Parents teachers whoever will take that time. I work in the school system, as of right now we dont have to make up. As far as february break, out of that week, where only doing 3 days. Remember we have to go to school veterans day, even though it falls on a sunday this year, that monday we will be in, there are a few days left that are still available to us, after thats gone, I have no clue of whats going to happened, will be in school until june 30th we can't go beyond that. Its the state law. So Mr. M you will be making some money for the whole year. Make that money. View Comment

This situation is very sad. we have lost so many kids over this gang related mess. You cant go around bullying people thinking that you can get away with it. This kid was being bullied ever since amos brown was killed, and that he testified in court. They were going to his job, his house and etc...the police was very aware that this kid was being bullied by these kids. Im not saying that u can go around killing people, but when you are tired of being pushed around, this is what the results comes out to be. you would"ve thought that by him testifying in court, knowing that there are still alot of them out there, the police could"ve done alot more to protect him and others. but who am i to say. My heart goes out to both families, especially the smalls and johnsons, they just buried their love one a couple months ago. ( the victims mother). maybe one day this will all pass. View Comment

Rev Burr, You are correct. This morning, it stated that the schools were closed for monday, then at 8:55 it was revised on pending if we are going to have school or not. All im saying is for norwalk to stop trying to be in the headlines first to say THERE WILL NOT BE SCHOOL FOR MONDAY. Think before you post. Everyone is going crazy what to do or what not to do. Gov. 6:06am they stated school were closed for monday, and the other days were pending, they should make sure what they are going to do before posting something on here. We do have to make arrangements for our children if there is no school for Monday, not this last minute crap that goes on here in nwlk. @ M.Murray....@1:55pm on our work screens at the bottom stated that a woman was shot at stop and shop. Second sentence stated headed towards Rampart Rd. I can only go off what was sent to our screens. I do work for the city. Brookside is on Michael St in the back and Highland Ave in the front. Rampart is across the street from Michael St. When Brookside gets any calls from the police or fire marshalls, the same calls go to The Childrens Playhouse, thats off from soundview and glasser st. I just couldnt understand if the shooter was running towards colonial village, then why were 4 officers going up and down soundview ave.when school was dismissed the same officers were still riding up and down the road. is it because they have no clue where this person is...I just hope the woman is recovering well from her surgery.
