"She was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, failure to obey a stop sign, failure to grant half of the highway, reckless driving and first-degree reckless endangerment, police said. She was released on $5,000 bond."
$5,000 bond ..... for all of THAT?! 3 other people and an 18-month old sent to the hospital because of her idiocy and she's released on $5,000 bond. Wow. View Comment
Well, friend of drunk man who picks up 3 strange men in his car and drives around S. Norwalk at 2:30am with his 9 year old daughter in the car, perhaps ye should not pass judgment on those passing judgment on such undeniable stupidity. Pray for him? Pray for him. Really? OK, I'll do that for you when I'm at church on Sunday. Perhaps I'll even put him on my nightly 'special prayers list' just so that he doesn't go getting his innocent child KILLED while breaking the law and obviously putting his daughter in harm's way.
While I'm at it, I'll pray for you too. "Dear Lord, please bless hootie69 for hootie69 does not understand that under NO circumstances should a little girl be subjected to being in a car at 2:30am with 3 strange men and her drunk-driving father. I beseech you to help hootie69 see the light, oh Lord.
2-4"..... is not a storm. Norwalk closed 'in anticipation' of last Tuesday's "storm" and we had, what, an inch of snow?
I'm all for keeping the kids safe, but this is New England. I would hope that people living here could safely drive through an inch or two of snow. View Comment
"Williams was arrested in March on third-degree burglary charges. He pleaded guilty in May and was sentenced to four years in prison, suspended, with three years of probation."
Suspended???? If his sentence wasn't suspended, this child would still be alive! I am HORRIFIED by this story AND by our judicial system!
My deepest, heartfelt condolences to the family. My heart aches for you.
I was in the emergency room yesterday not long after this. Everyone waiting in the ER was very somber after learning what happened and understood why there was such a long wait to be seen (me included). We need to realize that while we may have an extra long wait to be tended to by medical professionals.... there could be much worse things happening.
My heart aches for the boy, his family and friends. Words cannot express my heartfelt sympathy for you all.
