The continued reference to criminal beheavior in the defense of weak gun laws countradicts the purpose and need for better regulation. Regulation will not immediately temper access to guns by the illintenioned or unstable. It will however, over time succeed. To justify doing nothing about gun regulation now because criminals don't adhere to the law is hasty and illogical thinking. Self serving, Fear tainted, Race baiting, Misleading and Outright Untruths expressed in recent rethoric expressed by NRA leadership is far more destructive to any community and our country than a desire for sensible gun laws.
