Do you think the criminals will turnn theirs in as well ?
It is not the guns or any other tool used to commit a crime. The people who are using the tools need to be held responsible. If they have to do even the minimum amount of time, all of a sudden they will realize they are going to spend more time in prison then on the streets. View Comment

Enforce the current laws. No plea deals.
If you use a gun in the commission of a crime you do the minimum under Ct law. The prisons will become crowded, OH Well, and when the boys realize that they are going away for years they will change the way they think.
Imagine, you shoot someone because you do not want them living in your neighborhood.

I moved out of Norwalk / CT so I could retire. Taxes are half and the living is easier.
I think the more you expect from the payers, the less you are going to recieve to give to the recievers. Check the sin tax revenues, raise the price of a bottle and fewer bottles are sold, less revenue.
In the "old" days if you wanted your child to have pre school you payed for it. Lots of folks shared the responibility of child raising by having one person take care of the children and others go to work. The more we rely on the government the less control; we have on our own lives.
Folks need to take responsibility and take care of themselves.

The clinic was on Water Street a short walk. Now it is on CT Ave so we need a bus to bring the care givers back to the people who need care.

someone should ask our leaders if they know what is in the bill. Ask them for a break down on where the money is to go............. Not much was allocated for Sandy

I am law abiding and own guns. Just in case someone like the Chesire two come a calling. (Illeagal possesion of weapons, etc.)
All the folks who are involved in gun violence have some sort of mental problem. Those who use guns in a violent act are less then 1%. Just like we tolerate cars and busses and trucks, 50+ killed in Westchester a few years ago in bus crash, guns are not the issue just like cars and other vechiles are not the issue.

From what we know now the guns were legal and in the shooters mothers house. They were legal. The son takes them which means they are now ilegal.
The son takes the guns and does the horrible deed.He could have used a knife or any other device.Supposed he drove a vechile into the class rooms.
It used to be that folks who were not stable could be taken to a mental health facility (Fairfield Hills) to be evaluated. All it took was a call to the local PD.
That was decided to be aginst our rights.
Now we have everyone who might not be "stable" running around the streets and nothing can be done.
It is we the people who tollerate the "laws" that are responsible not the guns. View Comment
It is really important to have a pretty sidewalk between the 4 redevelopment projects that are just dirt piles. Smith street, center of Wall POKO, West Ave / Orchard and the largest dirt pile Reed/Putnam.
I would love to know how much tax revenue has been lost by knocking down all the buildings and chasing the businesses away. View Comment
Funny how the mayor gets hammered about his comments concerning the rebuilding of Calf pasture beach and the money Norwalk doesn't have to accomplish the rebuilding. Yet rebuilding Bailey is OK. View Comment
What a world we live in. Why couldn't the worker volunteer to watch the child in the car ? I am sure it would be next to impossible to deal with the two youngsters at the same time.
I hope thecharge gets dropped. View Comment
