The cooler than normal autumn temperatures will struggle to hit 60 degrees Saturday as a low pressure system keeps the weather unsettled through the weekend.

A series of weak low pressure areas to the south will move northeast and bring periods of rain showers and drizzle through Saturday. There is a 60 percent chance of rain, with fog and temps in the mid-50s.

The shower activity will become more scattered late Saturday into Sunday. Highs on Sunday should be slightly milder in the mid-60s but still slightly below seasonable. There is a 40 percent chance of more rain on Sunday across Fairfield County.

More rain is likely on Monday, as the workweek begins.
