The forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain and scattered thunderstorms to move in by 10 a.m. Wednesday, and continue on and off throughout the rest of the day and into the night.

But don't think the rain will cool things off. Temperatures are forecast to remain in the upper 80s.

Thursday and Friday remain the same with a 30 percent of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon and continuing into the evening hours. Some of the afternoon storms could produce heavy rains.

Temperatures soar again as well, with temperatures pushing into the upper 80s, which, added with the heat index, will feel make it feel like it's in the upper 90s.
