New Canaan To See Sunny Skies And Cool Temps Today, But Is Rain On The Way?

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The weather will be sunny and cool in Fairfield County on Wednesday, though some storm clouds and higher temperatures could roll into the region heading into the weekend.

The National Weather Service predicts that Wednesday will be sunny with a high near 76. The west wind will be between 6 and 9 mph. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

It will heat up a little bit on Thursday, which will be partly sunny, with a high near 81. Winds will pick up a bit too, and will blow south between 6 and 14 mph. Thursday night there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, but will otherwise be mostly cloudy with a low around 66.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue into Friday. The day will be partly sunny, with a high near 85. Friday night will see a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. After that it will be partly cloudy, with a low around 67.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon on Saturday. It will be partly sunny, with a high near 86. Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 68, but there is also a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

On Sunday there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The day will be mostly cloudy, with a high around 83. Sunday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 65.
