A sign placed on the door at Bonne Nuit alerted patrons to the change.
“We are pleased to announce the sale of Bistro Bonne Nuit to our friends at Farmer's Table,” the sign states.
On Wednesday, Farmer’s Table owner Robert Ubaldo confirmed the pending sale, but said the deal was still being negotiated and had not been finalized.
“We needed to find a new spot because this building is being developed,” said Ubaldo, referring to the small space that held the three-year-old American cuisine restaurant at 21 Forest St.
Fans of Farmer’s Table -- which grows its own fresh produce -- should not worry about major changes when it moves across the street, according to Ubaldo. He did not have a specific date for when the move will occur, but he expects it to happen before the end of the year.
“It will be the same, only bigger,” he said, adding that patrons will still be able to bring in their own alcoholic beverages but he will also apply for a liquor license at the new location.
