Fairfield County Community Foundation Plans Young Adult Summit

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Join Fairfield County’s Community Foundation for the first annual forum for young adults, ages 16-24, interested in gaining marketable skills, building a professional network and thriving here in Fairfield County.

The event, hosted by Thrive By 25, is from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at Sacred Heart University Student Commons, 5151 Park Ave., Fairfield.

The summit will feature interactive workshops, dynamic speakers, exciting giveaways, fun contests, networking with like-minded people your age and food and refreshments.

Workshops include the following:

  • Identifying your interests and practical applications
  • Identifying and selling your skills
  • Building relationships/support networks/movements
  • Embracing transitions while keeping perspective

Thrive By 25 is a program of Fairfield County's Community Foundation that focuses on helping young adults graduate, find work experience and identify a path to a meaningful career. It partners with employers to address solutions at the intersection of education, work force development and jobs with the goal of ensuring the economic well-being of our region's young people by the time they reach age 25.
