New Canaan High Heads Down The Yellow Brick Road For 'The Wizard Of Oz'

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Ready for a trip down the Yellow Brick Road?

New Canaan High School underclassmen will perform "The Wizard of Oz" on Nov. 11 and Nov. 12.

The New Canaan High School theater department is preparing to put on a musical production of "The Wizard of Oz," from Nov. 11 to 12 in the school's auditorium.

Following a successful season opener of "Feathers in the Wind," put on by the theater department's upperclassmen, this version of the tale of Dorothy and her friends in Oz is being staged by underclassmen, school officials said. The show recount's Dorothy's efforts to go home, including her run-ins with the Wicked Witch of the West.

Performances are planned for 7 p.m. Nov. 11, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the high school, 11 Farm Road, New Canaan. Tickets are $15 and $18.
