There's no need for anyone to imitate a food that's naturally perfect in all of its glory from birth to dish.

Noodles comes from unmixed dough that's smacked around in any number of shapes. They're then sliced, diced and boiled with a variety of sauces, depending on ethnicity.

But noodles have evolved over the years and have become a newer fast food of choice as millennials buck burger chains, according to a Wall Street Journal article .

There's the mac and cheese varieties on many menus and the standby ramen noodles that hold court in eateries throughout the tristate.

Nothing tastes better than a bargain and on National Noodle Day, here's two.

  • Noodles & Company is offering a free small bowl of Wisconsin Mac & Cheese with the purchase of a regular entree.
  • P.F. Changs is giving Noodle Tasting Kits and online coupons for frozen entrees as part of an online giveaway.
