Audiences enjoyed the upperclassmen's production of “Feathers in the Wind," a comical play with music that weaved together a collection of Jewish folktales about the wise fools of Chelm into a single fable. The students performed to one sold-out audience and nearly sold out performances on two other evenings., according to a release from New Canaan Public Schools.
The season continued with the underclassmen’s production of “The Wizard of Oz," a classic tale that has been entertaining audiences for generations and discovers the magical power of home and friendships, the release said.
The roles of the munchkins in the land of Oz were played by third-graders from South, East and West Elementary schools.
