Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Pickup Truck Driver Killed In Collision With Garbage Truck In South Jersey A 53-year-old pickup truck driver from Cherry Hill was killed after a collision with a garbage truck in Gloucester County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about noon on Tuesday, May 21 at Lambs and Glassboro roads in Mantua, police said. The front of the garbage truck struck the driver's side door of the Ram pickup, police said. The victim's name had not been released. The garbage truck driver was not hurt.
