Black Bear Spotted In New Canaan Neighborhood

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A black bear was spotted earlier this week in a neighborhood north of downtown New Canaan, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

A bear weighing an estimated 300 pounds came near the house Tuesday morning at Soundview and Laurel, the Advertiser said. It took off west toward Route 123, the report said.
