The bible ranked number six in 2015 out of 275 challenges to books, reports the Huffington Post.
The ALA says books are challenged for inappropriate content, offensive language, religious viewpoints or being sexually explicit, reports the Huffington Post.
The top three challenged books were,
- "Looking for Alaska," by John Green
- "Fifty Shades of Grey," by E.L. James
- "I Am Jazz," by Jessica Herthel and Jazz Jennings
