Veteran Shares Stories Of World War II At New Canaan's Waveny

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Residents and guests at Waveny LifeCare in New Canaan enjoyed a special Veterans Day treat when decorated veteran and Waveny resident Anthony Moody shared his stories of World War II's Battle of the Bulge.

Moody, who is one of about 30 Waveny residents or adult day care participants who are veterans, shared his stories and showed his service medals and awards with the group this week in honor of Veterans Day.

Each veteran on hand for the ceremony in Waveny's Main Street got a personal greeting of thanks from the audience, Waveny officials said. Each branch of the military was represented.
